Howard wins

If you were thinking about watching the election coverage tomorrow night don't bother.

We already know the result.

Kenneth Copeland, American Christian televangelist who believes Jesus was raped, tells us:

this is no time for that man [John Howard] to be defeated. Well he’s not going to be. Amen. He is Lord to the glory of God the Father. He is Lord to the glory of God the Father. He is Lord over Australia! It has been announced! Amen.
And god has also spoken to Danny Nalliah:
The Lord told me to spend some personal time with Prime Minister John Howard and to prophetically prepare Federal Treasurer Peter Costello as the future Prime Minister of Australia.

... Prime Minister John Howard will be re-elected in the November election (if the Body of Christ unites in prayer and action) and pass the leadership onto Peter Costello sometime after.
And Nalliah isn't some crackpot cult leader. In August he had private meetings with the Prime Minister and Peter Costello. (Which may explain why the Coalition has been campaigning so badly - they know they've already won so what's the point in trying.)

If only Nalliah didn't think gambling places, along with brothels, mosques and temples, were satan's strongholds worthy of destruction. He could make quite a lot of money on the Coalition over at Sportingbet.

No wonder Costello wasn't trying. Lazy bastard was waiting for God to do the heavy lifting.

Not only did Nalliah get the election result wrong, Costello's declared he's leaving parliament at the end of this term and will, therefore, never be PM.

I'm not sure exactly what Nalliah's "preparing" involved but Liberal MPs with dreams of the Prime Ministership would be best served by keeping their distance. Maybe it was some kind of curse.

Ah, what does it take for people to figure out that men like Kenneth Copeland and Danny Nalliah are not Christians?

Heretics such as these men do not represent Christ, nor God, nor Christianity, because many of their claims can be easily refuted from the Scriptures they claim to profess and hold. The fact that their "prophecies" failed is a sure sign, for if they indeed spoke of the mouth of God (assuming that God exists, and that this God is omniscient, omnipotent, and omnipresent), then why were they wrong? The God of the Bible, which they claim to believe in, says, "I the Lord speak righteousness, I declare things that are right." (Isaiah 45:19). The undeniable fact that they were wrong should tell us one of two things:

1. The God they serve is a liar, a deceiver, contradictory, and indeed does not and cannot "declare things that are right".

or;

2. Kenneth Copeland and Danny Nalliah have not spoken at all in the name, or on behalf of, the God who "declares things that are right."

Sadly, these men have no accountability, and even if someone calls them to account for their lies they will soon sweep them under the carpet and go off on their next bout of deceivings.

In fact, in them is fulfilled the majority of the entire 2nd chapter of the apostle Peter's second letter. Consider this portion, for example:

"...there will be false teachers among you, who secretly being in destructive heresies...many will follow their destructive ways, because of whom the way of truth will be blasphemed." II Peter 2:1-2

Note that these false teachers shall have many followers, think of Benny Hinn, Kenneth Copeland, and others, whose followers treat them like gods, but their behaviour is so abhorrent that the latter portion of the verse is fulfilled by you, that because of these men you have more and more reason to blaspheme against God and the Bible, and I really cannot expect anything less of you, nor blame you, or anyone else who can discern the tripe that comes forth from the mouths of these men.

Consider the next verse in II Peter 2:3, which says of these men;
" By covetousness they will exploit you with deceptive words...", a perfect description of how they hold their fake healing crusades, fleecing ignorant and desperate people of their money, yet spouting "This is the work of God!"

Friend, I may be a believer in God, but I am as equally disgusted by these people as you. And please note, that I also respect your freewill choice not to believe in the existance of God. The point of this comment is merely to attempt to draw a distinction between what I shall deem "Biblical normalcy", ie, true Christian faith, and wicked, lying, blasphemous heretics like these men that give you more reason to slur God (if he exists), rather than reason to consider the existance of God by those who "live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present age." (Titus 2:12)

Nevertheless I applaud and thank athiests such as yourself at least for this, that you keep us, those who seek to have an honest testimony about the truth of who God is, you keep us in account by showing us your continual abhorrence towards those who claim one thing, (eg: the "prophesied" Election result) yet truth testifies differently.

I would appreciate any feedback you might give me.

Kind regards,
Joshua Michael.

Thanks for your detailed comment Joshua. You are obviously well versed in the book of your faith.

As you point out, it is clear that Copeland and Nalliah don’t have a direct line to god. But why do you think anyone does. While most religious leaders are smart enough not to make such clear predictions (which can be later proven wrong), I have not seen any evidence that anyone receives direction from god.

Isn’t it possible that Copeland and Nalliah are just today’s version of jesus or mohammed. Except the two pastors are are, on the whole, ignored because they preach in a more educated and scientifically advanced time.

Today, do you think anyone would believe an uneducated merchant in Arabia is really talking to an angel sent by god? They did in the 7th century.
